Notice of the Meeting of
the Commissioners Court of Bell County, Texas, for
February 21, 2012
Notice is hereby given that a
regular meeting of the
above named Court will be held at 9:00 a.m., February 21,
2012,
with the
meeting to be held in the COMMISSIONERS' COURTROOM, at the
Bell
County Courthouse, 101 Central Avenue, Belton, Texas,
to begin on February 21, 2012, at
9:00
a.m.
and continue thereafter until such business of the Court has been completed in accordance
with Article 81.005 of the Local Government Code of the State of Texas. The
following items of business will be discussed, to-wit:

Consider approval of minutes of February 13, 2012.

County Engineer.
- Consider acceptance of the following bids:
1. Bid # 4-12, Cement
2. Bid # 5-12, Lime
3. Bid # 6-12, Cold Mix
4. Bid # 7-12, Pit Run Gravel
5. Bid # 8-12, Concrete, and
6. Bid # 9-12, Lubricant Supplies - Consider approval to contract
with M&E Consultants to prepare an Emergency Action Plan, for Dam 5a, in
Elm Creek Watershed.
- Consider authorizing County Engineer to
advertise for bids on Hot Mix Asphalt.
- Receive report from TxDOT on its study of the intersection of Old
Highway 95 and FM 93, receive its recommendations, and consider action
on the recommendations.

Personnel.

Consider approval of clarification/policy change to Section 402
of the Bell County Employee Handbook, Retiree Medical and/or Dental Insurance.

Consider approval for County Auditor to advertise for Request
for Qualifications (RFQ) for Benefits Administration services.

Consider yearly FY 2011 Interest and Investment Report from
County Treasurer Charles Jones.

Consider approval of a contract with New World Systems in the
amount of $60,000.00 for the development of customized functionality requested
by Jail Operations to address required business process functions currently not
a part of the New World Systems software.

Consider approval of a contract with New World Systems in the
amount of $141,250.00 for data file conversion services required to bring over
ten years of inmate history into the new Jail Management System, alleviating the
need for inmate history checks in the AS400 legacy system and enabling the
quicker shutdown of the legacy jail system.

Consider approval of Statement of Work with Kronos, Inc. for
professional services for time and attendance.

Consider approval of the purchase of two Ford Crown Victorias
from the City of Morgan's Point Resort in the total amount of $2,000.00 as
authorized under Government Code 791.025.

considered, deliberated, and/or acted upon in a different order than set forth
above.
Bell County Commissioners Court
reserves the right to discuss any items in executive (closed) session whenever permitted by the Texas Open
Meeting Act.
